Ana Isabel Fernandes
Chief Operations Officer
With over 26 years of experience in industrial and international environments, Ana began her career at L’Oréal and later worked in automotive, aerospace, and large-scale logistics.
She joined Sonae Arauco in 2020 and now serves as COO of Prismore Capital, leading new industrial ventures.
Ana holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto and studied Production Engineering at INSA Lyon.
A proud mother of three (two boys and a fearless daughter), Ana enjoys family life and expresses her creativity through interior design and painting.


Isaac Fidalgo Vaz
Chief Financial Officer
Isaac serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Prismore Capital.
Prior to joining Prismore, Isaac was an Investment Director at InfraRed Capital Partners in London, leading the origination and execution of private-equity investments in low-carbon power generation, clean technology, and digital infrastructure across Europe. Before that, and also in London, he was a Director at Aviva Investors Real Assets team and previously held roles at Brookfield Asset Management and EY, where he invested in and advised on global power and transportation infrastructure.
Earlier experience includes management consulting at TIS.pt, where he advised clients such as the European Commission and the World Bank on large-scale PPP and PFI programmes.
Isaac holds a Master’s in Finance from London Business School, an Executive Master’s in Corporate Finance from ISCTE Business School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidade da Beira Interior. He has also completed executive education at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, and ESSEC Business School/Cergy-Pontoise in Paris.
Outside the office, Isaac applies a diversified approach to risk, with interests ranging from motorcycling, surfing, and snowboarding to wine tasting — usually not all at once. He also plays basketball regularly, with the long-term ambition of one day being challenged on the court by his two sons, whose growth he greatly enjoys watching.


Miguel Gil Mata
Chief Executive Officer
Miguel holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, complemented by an MBA from Porto Business School and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
He began his career as a consultant specialising in industrial process optimisation before moving to the energy sector. He lived and worked in Mozambique for two years at the Cahora Bassa Dam, broadening his expertise in hydropower. Upon returning to Portugal, he joined Alstom, contributing to several hydroelectric generation projects.
In 2004, Miguel joined the Sonae Group, where he held a variety of roles over the years, both at Sonae Indústria and later at Sonae Capital. He currently serves as a Board Member and Chief Executive Officer of Prismore Capital.
Family is at the centre of his life. Miguel is married and the father of three children, two boys and a girl. A lifelong enthusiast of mechanics, Miguel has a particular passion for cars, especially off‑road driving. More recently, he has devoted part of his free time to nature, tending to his orchard and identifying tree species — and he never travels without his field guide.

Carolina Mesquita
Operating Partner
Carolina has a strong background in lean methodologies, operations, and project management, but it is in strategy execution that she truly found her calling.
With over 25 years of experience, she has worked across multiple areas and countries, gaining a deep understanding of how companies operate, spanning people, processes, systems, and culture.
She currently serves as Head of Business Excellence at Prismore, where she focuses on translating strategic goals into actionable plans, overseeing implementation across all business units, and driving organizational transformation with a focus on value creation.
Carolina holds a master’s degree in operations management and has built recognized expertise in OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) to bring clarity and focus to strategic initiatives.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, walking and be with family and friends.


Helen Sá
Operating Partner
Helen is a specialist in strategic management and operational excellence, with over 17 years of experience in the aerospace and automotive sectors.
She has led complex transformation projects, optimized industrial performance, and developed robust business plans to support strategic decision-making, mobilizing cross-functional teams in multicultural environments.
She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, and completed a postgraduate program as a Lean Practitioner at Lean Institute Portugal.
Helen joined the Asset Management team at Prismore in 2026, with the mission to increase value creation across portfolio companies by helping develop robust and sustainable strategies that align performance with long-term growth.
When she’s not driving strategy, Helen draws her energy from her two sons, who are her constant source of inspiration. She also enjoys quick and practical cooking, aromatherapy, and roller skating, finding in these practices ways to bring efficiency and well-being to her daily life.


Joana Formigal
M&A VP
Joana has a solid background in Corporate Finance, M&A, and Project Finance. With over five years of experience, she began her career at Deloitte, where she developed deep expertise in financial analysis, valuation and transaction advisory skills as a Senior Consultant.
In September 2025, Joana embraced a new challenge by transitioning into the dynamic world of Private Equity, joining the M&A department as Vice President, where she focuses on transaction execution and portfolio value creation.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Porto (FEP) and a Master’s in Finance from EADA Business School.
Joana is also a CFA Level I holder. Outside of work, Joana finds balance in an active lifestyle — starting the day with a workout, spending time at the beach with a good book, enjoying a sunset with a cold beer in hand with friends, and ending the day with a delicious traditional Portuguese meal.


José Maria Torres
Operating Partner
After more than 25 years of experience in international projects in the Oil & Gas and industrial sectors, along with 10 years dedicated to circular economy and advanced recycling technologies, José María serves as the CTO of Prismore Capital.
He leads the technological strategy and industrial implementation of chemical recycling solutions.
Father of two university-aged children, lover of sports and adventure ( from motorcycling to extreme sports) and an enthusiast of gastronomy, cooking, and good times with friends and wine.

Luís Belinha Reis
Head of IT
Luís is Head of IT at Prismore, with solid experience in IT management across renowned companies such as Ramada, Stow and Adira.
He holds a degree in Industrial Management Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a master’s from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, further complemented by two postgraduate programs at Porto Business School in Business Intelligence & Analytics and IT Management.
Passionate about leveraging technology to create business value, Luís combines strategic vision with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
Outside of work, he enjoys his two greatest passions: football and traveling, discovering new cultures and places.

Maria Helena Almeida
Head of Sustainability
Maria Helena has a strong background in investor relations and corporate communication, but it was in sustainability, a role she embraced in 2020, that she truly found her calling. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked in several companies such as Sonaecom, Sonae, Sonae Capital, and Sonae Sierra.
She joined Prismore Capital at the beginning of 2025, with the mission to develop the holding sustainability strategy, aligned with Prismore purpose, and to oversee its implementation across all business units.
She holds a degree in Mathematics from Universidade do Porto, an MBA from Porto Business School, and a Master in Finance from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics.
Beyond her professional life, she is a dedicated classical ballet dancer, which nurtures her discipline and attention to detail. But above all, she is a proud mother of two boys, who are her greatest source of inspiration.


Maria João Pinheiro Torres
Office & Treasury Manager
Maria João has over twenty years of experience in the financial sector, having built her career both in corporate environments and in private institutions of public interest.
With a degree in Economics, she has also held roles that contributed directly to the social and professional inclusion of vulnerable youth, an experience that heightened her sensitivity to social issues and reinforced her commitment to public-interest initiatives. In 2018, Maria João joined Sonae Capital as Executive Assistant to the CEO, where she discovered a new way of working closely with people, with a strong human-oriented approach.
With the creation of Prismore Capital, she took on additional technical responsibilities as Office & Treasury Manager, and she firmly believes that personal development and transversal skills are key to building a life of greater purpose.
She prefers listening to speaking and finds her greatest motivation in connecting with others. She finds balance in the quiet moments shared with her family and draws ongoing inspiration from the connection she shares with her husband and their four children.
Dynamic and resilient, Maria João approaches each new challenge with focus, dedication, and a strong sense of purpose, harmonizing her personal and professional dimensions with authenticity and commitment.


Maria João Ribeiro
Head of Legal
Maria João has built a 29-year legal career at Sonae companies, advising business units in shopping centers, real estate, tourism and industry, many of them with a strong international exposure.
She holds a Law degree, is registered at the Portuguese Bar Association and serves as Head of Legal at Prismore Capital, focusing on M&A, Governance and Legal support to business units.
A passionate advocate for animal welfare, Maria João was volunteer with associations and is a proud owner of two beloved dogs, reflecting her compassionate and caring commitment to this cause.


Miguel Cunha
M&A Analyst
Miguel holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, with a specialisation in Corporate Finance, and is a certified Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst.
He began his career at Prismore Capital as a Trainee and now works as an Analyst, supporting the entire M&A process. Previously, he completed an internship at one of Europe’s fastest-growing financial services companies, providing solutions to major investment banks.
Passionate about sports, Miguel played football for clubs in Portugal and Austria and represented his university in regional championships.


Nuno Sousa
Head of People
With over 12 years of experience in Human Resources at the Sonae Capital group, mainly in the industrial and engineering sectors, Nuno holds a Master’s degree in Work and Organizational Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Economics and HR Management.
He currently serves as Head of People at Prismore Capital.
Passionate about film photography and vinyl record collecting, including the complete discography of The Clash. Fender Stratocaster player and, most importantly, a proud father of a little rock star.


Paula Figueiredo
Head of Funding
Paula has over 25 years of experience within the Sonae group, focused on corporate finance, particularly funding, financial markets, and debt structuring. She has worked across multiple business cycles supporting financing strategy, bank relationship management, and the development of long‑term funding solutions for the group’s operations.
She holds a degree in Financial Management and brings extensive expertise in balance‑sheet planning, liquidity management, and access to capital.
Paula is driven by what brings balance to her personal life. The mother of two daughters, she draws much of her inspiration and sense of grounding from them. At home, she shares her days with her husband and two loyal dogs, whose enthusiasm adds joy and rhythm to her routine.


Paulo Martins
Head of Portfolio Finance
Paulo has over 10 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, and investor relations with Private Equity–backed entities in Portugal (Mystic Invest and Ascendi) and Germany (Leica). He also has a Big4 background in Tax and Corporate Finance.
He joined Prismore Capital in December 2025 as Head of Portfolio Finance, where he partners with portfolio companies to drive value creation, enhance financial performance, and support strategic initiatives across the investment lifecycle.
Paulo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidade do Porto and a Master’s in Finance from Católica Porto Business School. He also holds a Certificate in Project Finance from the Project Finance Institute.
Beyond his professional life, he is an avid reader, with interests ranging from the Financial Times “The Big Read” to the complete works of Dostoevsky.


Pedro Mota
Operating Partner
An experienced professional in the energy sector, Pedro has built a 20-year career across Portugal and international markets, with a strong focus on the energy transition and circular economy.
He spent 8 years at the Sonae Group, through Capwatt, and now leads Circular Economy projects at Prismore Capital.
He holds a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Porto and further executive training in management and energy at AESE Business School.
A father of three, Pedro enjoys trail running, playing the electric bass, and collecting comics.

Pedro Vaz Carvalho
Head of M&A
Pedro has over 12 years of experience in M&A, private equity, and strategic advisory, leading complex transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
He previously served as CFO of the Portuguese tech scale-up Bizay and now leads M&A origination and management at Prismore Capital.
Holds a degree in Economics and an International MSc in Finance from Universidade Católica in Lisbon.
A dedicated father of two, enjoys reading, book collecting, and enology, having earned certifications and joined a leading sommelier organization.
